Care Products” companies in the industry. Liquid Glaze was
founded in 1918 and has 17 proprietary Liquid Glaze brand name
formulations that are “best in class” including cleaners,
polishes, washes, glazes, abrasives and degreasers. They have
manufactured and bottled OEM products for: Mopar, Oldsmobile, Buick,
Pontiac, Chrysler…

In the early 1990’s, there was a famous infomercial featuring
“Torture Tests” of Fire, Acid and Spray Paint on the hood of an
expensive car, which was easily brought back to new with a
product called Liquid Lustre. This was actually a Liquid Glaze
product called PolyGlaze that was bottled and labeled under the
“Liquid Lustre” name. The infomercial dramatically demonstrated
the unmatched quality of their “all in one” product. It
generated tens of millions in sales and made the re-labeled
Liquid Glaze product highly recognized and desired. |

The current owner purchased the company in 1978 and was
responsible for the company’s growth over the next 20 years.
Unfortunately, after the infomercial (which ran for about six
months) the companies downfall began after the owner neglected
their “bread and butter” Liquid Glaze line and took the “easy
path” of Liquid Luster. Six years ago the owner, who is now 83
years old, was in a car accident after which he really let the
company decline. His age and health are the reason that this
opportunity is now available. If he was 10 years younger and
healthy, he would still be growing the business and revitalizing
the Liquid Glaze line.
Today with zero sales or marketing efforts the company maintains
sales of several hundred thousand per year. It is believed that
the right new owner would be able to implement an effective
sales, marketing and distribution program to recapture the
market. This is a highly profitable business with gross profit
margins ranging from 60% to 80% depending on the product.
General Information
• The company is located in Toccoa, GA a northern suburb of
Atlanta, and has great interstate highway access for shipping
and receiving. It includes a 20,000 SqFt building and several
acres of property.
• It has significant production capacity for filling, capping,
and labeling a wide variety of products and container sizes.
(They currently do some private labeling.)
• The product line formulations produce no hazardous waste.
• There are several long term key employees that manage the
formulation and production process for the company.
• Numerous formulas including all of those for the Liquid Glaze
lines and others will be included. There formulations have been
continually updated since the company began and are among the
